» Feature Writer Jacqueline Church - Any suggestions for Fall for my container garden?

I'm a new gardener and have enjoyed my summer fire-escape garden (though all my butterfly and hummingbird attractors failed this year!)

As the weather is cooling and summer plants are gettng scraggly...thinking about what I can pot now to take me through to frost. I'm in Boston.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Jacqueline,

Welcome and Greetings from the western part of the golorious Commonwealth of MA happy

I unhesitatingly recommend Pleasant View Gardens and their web site. I think you will be pleased with the site. If you access "Fall Magic" in the right column of the site you will find more ideas than you might possibly use for autumn plantings.

Pleasant View is really a wholesale / educational outfit, so you can not buy plants via the internet from them.

What you are able to do is get ideas, work out your ideas, record them on paper and then take the paper to a reputable garden center or seller of plants to buy your plants. If you hit it right, you can even find choice plants at the "big box" stores.

I hope this helps...let us know how your project turns out. If you need any more help, please let us know...

Meanwhile...please vote in my autumn poll on my home page!
