» Barbara Nicholson Bell - Moss is such a problem

My old patio and yard are mostly in shade, and the ground is not only compacted but also full of roots and rocks. We've cut back some branches but since the trees are on neighboring property we have pretty much given up on that.

The bricks of the patio look rather rustic and cottage-y with the moss that adorns them. As this is not an area of heavy traffic, we decided to leave it. Periodic attacks with a power hose and stiff broom helps keep it at bay.

Welcome, Sandra! It's good to see you here,

Sounds like you've thought carefully about your patio moss. You've opted for the charming feature plan. I agree with you and wonder...do you do anything to keep it looking fresh during dry periods?
